The University of Newcastle (UON) 2013 – 2015 Brand and Reputation Building Strategy
The project: The development and implementation of a three-year marketing plan to align with the University’s Strategic Plan “NeW Directions”.
The objective: Build brand and reputation of The University of Newcastle locally, nationally and internationally with multiple target audiences (prospective students, prospective staff, academics, industry, current students, current staff). Drive demand for student load and support the University to attract and retain postgraduate, PHD and international students.
Inclusions: Brand Health market research study, 2013-2015 “Global Leaders Driving World-Class Innovation” global marketing campaign, student recruitment campaigns and events, social media, community engagement, Celebrate 50 campaign.
The outcome: increased awareness (both within and outside ‘feeder’ regions), increased reputation ratings across all audiences (particularly prospective undergraduates), UON research became a great talking point within the local community.
Greene & Co Estate Agency
The project: The development and implementation of an annual marketing plan for six estate agencies (under two brands) within Central London.
The objective: Build brand and reputation for Greene&Co estate agency to ensure sales targets were met across the 12-month period.
Inclusions: Web strategy, advertising strategy, community engagement and Corporate Social Responsibility plan, continual refinement of Client/Sales materials, weekly reporting against targets.
The outcome: Greene&Co continued to grow as one of North-West London’s most recognised and successful agencies. Sales targets were met and a number of new agencies opened. Multiple industry awards were won based on marketing and sales results.
Lawler Chartered Accountants
The project: The development of an annual marketing strategy for a) 10 x business units b) rolling up to an overall state-wide marketing plan, and c) rolling up to a national marketing plan incorporating all Lawler Chartered Accountants member firms.
The objective: Increase proactive marketing and communications focus at a business unit level, increase engagement and opportunities for cross-selling services with clients across the firm, increase brand and reputation across the national alliance.
Inclusions: development of 10 bespoke marketing plans, website audit and rebuild, client engagement strategy, social media plan, sponsorship and B2B initiatives.
The outcome: proactive marketing activities, consistency of brand in marketplace, increased signups to client events, increased signup to firms joining the National alliance.
